Event: 123Sing! (Join us in a one-off rehearsal and performance as part of this national celebration of singing.)
Saturday 2nd October 2010 at 2:00pm, St George's Church, Pinner View, North Harrow
Harrow Choral Society is participating in 123Sing! which is a three-day festival of singing across the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 October 2010, sponsored by Classic FM and Making Music.. 123Sing! aims to celebrate singing, inspire lots of people to start singing and raise money for music education and therapy for disadvantaged children and adults in the UK.
If you're a reasonably experienced singer and/or have the ability to learn quite quickly, join us and be part of HCS’s contribution to this, the biggest celebration of singing ever seen or heard in the UK. We will be rehearsing (learning!) and then performing choruses from Haydn’s Creation and excerpts from other works from our forthcoming November concert, including Howard Blake’s vibrant Song of St Francis. There will be a retiring collection which will be donated to Classic FM's charity Music Makers.
Please make contact with our Membership Secretary Jill Mans (0208 248 7625) to let her know that you're interested, and then just turn up on the day – copies of music available to borrow, or bring your own if you have it. Refreshments provided, and you'll be made very welcome.
Tickets cannot be purchased for past events.
